Pricing
One price, one household, no tiers.
Everyone in your house is included — partner, teens, the grandparent who does Thursdays, the sitter you invite for one evening. We don't charge per person, and we don't keep a feature behind an upgrade screen.
Founding
$99/year · locked at this price for as long as you stay
- ✓Half price, permanently — not a first-year discount that resets
- ✓Free until the app ships. Nothing is charged during the beta
- ✓Every feature, for everyone in the household
- ✓A direct line to me, and real influence on what gets built
- ✓Cancel whenever. Export the whole household in one file
Capped at 100 households so it stays worth something. No card needed now.
Standard
After the founding places are gone
- ✓The same product. There is no better version
- ✓Whole household included, however many people that is
- ✓No ads, no data sold, no third tier appearing later
- ✓Cancel whenever, export whenever
Roughly $8 a month. For comparison, the family apps we're measured against run $39 to $120 a year.
Straight answers
The things pricing pages usually dodge.
Why is there a price at all if it isn't finished?
Because you should know what this costs before you give it your family's week, and because a product nobody will pay for isn't worth building. Founding families lock the rate now and pay nothing until the app actually ships.
Is the founding price really permanent?
Yes, for as long as you keep the subscription. It isn't a twelve-month promotion that quietly doubles on renewal — that trick is why most people distrust launch pricing, and we'd rather have a hundred families who stay.
What happens when the 100 places are gone?
The price goes to $99 for everyone after. Existing founding households are unaffected, permanently.
Is there a free tier?
No. A free tier has to be paid for by someone, and the usual answers are ads or data. Both are ruled out here, so the honest version is a single fair price. There's a trial instead, and you can leave with your data.
Do I pay more for more people?
No. A household is the unit. Two parents, four kids, a grandparent and a sitter cost the same as one person, because the whole point is getting other people involved.
What if it isn't ready in time?
Then you aren't charged, because billing starts when the app ships rather than on a date we picked in advance. If it slips, you'll read it on the updates page.
Founding places are limited to 100.
Free during the beta, then half price for as long as you stay.
